We at Fancythatshit.com, the design label for all outlaws and your lifestyle for the 21st century, welcome you to part 2 of the series “Where is the underground, please?” This article is about your anonymity with Wi-Fi, landlines, smartphones, paying with debit cards, etc.
Anonymity gives you protection in the 21st century.
You will have noticed that the mega-corporation Google is particularly intrusive in this regard: it wants to know everything you do – from your location in Google Maps to your card payments via Google Pay.
But even on the deep web, it is essential to protect yourself and remain anonymous.
As independent as in the Wild West of the 2000s: With the WEBGO dedicated server
Would you like to be independent of providers with your web project or your own game server? We recommend the servers from Webgo!
Decentralization is a key concept in the 21st century and also for our vision:
Normally, when you register somewhere on the internet, your personal data is stored by providers (centralization). For years, technologies (Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, messengers) have been available that allow you to manage your data and money independently of providers such as corporations and the state.
We want to help you manage your data anonymously and for yourself alone.
What is the advantage of decentralized finance (DeFi)?
The Leipzig-based scene regulars' table Digitales Bargeld (Digital Cash) provides an overview, tips, and social media recommendations from their lecture series:
To prevent your links from being tracked by providers, there is your Fancysthatshit.com URL shortener, which can also be found on our landingpage:

We do NOT recommend (anything that runs centrally via providers):
Until 2021, EncroChat and Sky ECC were communication providers for crypto phones, end-to-end encrypted OTR instant messaging, and IP telephony.
Since the court proceedings in Brussels (the “Encro/Sky ECC” trial) 2023/2024, these two providers have become widely known.
But: They have not been used for a long time!
Why? Because the providers' data was stored centrally and could therefore be intercepted by the authorities.
Messaging via new, decentralized methods works anonymously and without providers.
Virtual private networks (VPNs) have been popular apps for several years now. They allow you to encrypt your data traffic and IP address, but can slow down your internet connection. Some VPNs also offer protection against malware.
VPNs are suitable for people who value the security of their data on the internet. VPNs usually cost money in the form of an annual subscription.
Further tip:
The OPERA browser provides you with a free VPN when surfing with OPERA!

This section is intended for advanced PC users.
Proxies are a type of anonymization that preceded VPNs but are still in use today. However, proxies only encrypt your IP address and not your data traffic.
A proxy is a real PC/computer that can be used as an intermediary between two other PCs (client and server) in a network. It can mask your request as a client to the server.
Fancythatshit.com tip: Use “multiple proxy integration”: Different proxies using different protocols (SOCKS5, HTTP, etc.) + Cyberghost VPN!
Free: Oracle's VirtualBox can create VMs for Windows, Linux, and Apple. However, as you can see from the VM created here called “FNCY WIN,” a VM created with VirtualBox is not always reliable: for example, the ISO file may suddenly become corrupted after the VM has been running for months.
Virtual machines (VMs), also known as “hypervisors,” simulate an operating system on your real operating system.
To do this, an ISO file containing the installation image of an operating system is usually downloaded from a website and loaded into the respective software tool so that a VM can be created.
What are the benefits?
VMs can be used to test an operating system, but also to surf the Internet anonymously.
Everything you install on a VM is only installed virtually and not on your real storage. That's why a VM also protects against damage from malware or data collection by Google.
Google's biggest enemy is VMs. You can't use Google with VMs!
There are countless VM providers.
We recommend the two most established and proven providers (links lead to the providers):

VMWARE (trial freeware or payware)

VirtualBox by Oracle (freeware)
